Mary Padgett Biography

Mary Padgett has a BFA degree from Boston University and an MFA from Syracuse University. Her solo shows include: the Pioneer Gallery, Cooperstown, NY; Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, Little Falls, NY; the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center, Auburn, NY; and the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, NY, as well as many others. Padgett has been included in a number of group shows, most notably in the Pastel Society of America, National Arts Club Gallery, New York City, in 1987,1989,1994,1995.1996,1998, and 2003. She also was included in exhibitions at the Boston University Art Gallery in Boston, MA and the Kirkland Art Center, Clinton, NY. She is represented in many private and corporate collections including the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Manhasset, NY; the Takasago International Corp., Rockleigh, NJ and the Towers Perrin Corp., New York City. Padgett is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and was awarded the Art du Pastel in 2003.  Mary Padgett has many years of teaching experience and has taught at SUNY, Morrisville: SUNY,, Oneonta: Cazenovia College: Syracuse University in Florence, Italy and at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY.
