Nestled at the foot of Mystic Mountain on five and one half acres of natural woods,
terraced walkways, and several waterfalls, are the main studios of Mystic Mountain Art, Inc.,
located in New Woodstock, NY. The natural beauty of the area makes it
ideal for plein air art making.
An off road grassed parking field is located at the entrance to the terraced walk way which
leads
to
a 2400 sq. ft., two story, studio. Fourteen workshops are offered on the grounds, including the main studio in New Woodstock, and at Cazenovia College’s, Computer Digital Photography Laboratory, in the village of Cazenovia. In addition, two workshops, Ceramics and Paper Making, are offered in Jamesville, NY, in the 5000 sq. ft. personal studio of one of our artist - instructors. The Jamesville location is 20 minutes from Cazenovia, and 30 minutes from New Woodstock.
All of the Instructors are practicing artists with national or international reputations. Their art work is represented in major museums, public and private art collections and in some cases on view in public spaces and publications. In addition, all are highly qualified, experienced teachers who
care about the artistic advancement of their students. Special attention is given to beginners.
Mystic Mountain Art, Inc. was created to provide the highest level of
professional, hands
on, instruction in
studio art to adults seeking to raise their level of artistic skills
and their level of aesthetic achievement. Workshop instruction is tailored
to the level of the individual student and every consideration is given
to providing the student with a truly meaningful experience, both
practically and theoretically in the art of “art-making”.
Professional guidance will move each student toward
achieving his/her full potential as an artist.
